Show I " " i FOUNTAIN GREEN I By Special Correspondence ' Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Marshall motored down from Salt Lake City last Sunday to visit with Mrs. Marshall's Mar-shall's mother, Mrs. Francis J Hansen. Amos P. Johnson who has been on the sick list for the past seven weeks, is still in a critical condition. condi-tion. . Mr. and Mrs. Don C. Woodward of Salt Lake City spent Saturday and Sunday at the home of Mrs. Francis J. Hansen. Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Jacobsen have just returned from Soldier Summit, where they visited Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Holman. The Social hour club held their monthly banquet at the home of Mrs. Andrew M. Barentson. The afternoon was spent in doing fancy work. The hostess assisted by her daughter, Mary, served an excellent chicken dinner. Those present were Maggie Frandsen, Rena Crow-ther, Crow-ther, Lena Allred, Mary A. Mik-kelsen, Mik-kelsen, Zina Jacobson, Matilda Sor-enson, Sor-enson, Carolina Larson, and Mary Barentson was a special guest. The Old Folks committee met Sunday evening to plan the annual entertainment for the old folks to be held March 21st. It is hoped that this lovely weather will continue con-tinue for that occassion, so that all the old people can be present. Mr. and Mrs. N. C. Neilson entertained en-tertained at a shower Saturday evening, in honor of the marriage of their son Don to Miss Beth Brad- leye of Moroni. Delicious refreshments refresh-ments were served to thirty friends. The honor guests received many beautiful and useful gifts. Home Economics meeting was held Friday, March 7th at 2 p. m. in the Relief Society Hall. Mrs. Charles R. Coombs conducted the exercises: singing, "Catch the Sunshine;" Sun-shine;" prayer, Mrs. Bertha Christiansen; Chris-tiansen; roll call was answered by sentiments from each member; minutes presented by Mrs. Murel Ivory were read and approved; current cur-rent events, Mrs. Ethel Anderson; vocal solo. Mrs. Chas. R. Coombs; reading, Mrs. Murel Ivory. The Home Economics club has been fortunate in being recognized by the Home Department of the Agricultural Agricul-tural College, inasmuch as literature litera-ture and demonstrations are secured secur-ed for the benefit of the club. A successful year is anticipated, and the officers welcome new members. Meetings are held the first Friday in each month at the Relief Society Socie-ty Hall at 2 p. m. Mr. and Mrs. James Anderson and Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Guymon have emoved to Elberta, Utah. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Blackham of Moroni have returned home, after a months vsit here. John E. Christiansen returned home Saturday from a Salt Lake hospital. While away he was operated oper-ated on for goitre, and is now Improving Im-proving rapidly. Mrs. Emma Checketts of Ogden. a sister of Mrs. Ray Holman, has just returned home after a two weeks visit with relatives and friends in this city. |
