Show Track Work Track prospects in Wasatch Academy are not very bright as compared' with former years. With only four of last year's men back it is going to be a hard task to maintain the region title that the Tigers have held for three consecutive consecu-tive years. In the class series that have been run off this week, thirty-eight boys competed. This is an unusually large number as there are only fifty-nine boys in the high school. The Juniors won the meet. In the sprints, Captain Jones, Hill Candland, Becker, Bertelson and Wood were outstanding. While Brush, Ballard, Dalpiaz, and Carter Car-ter attained the greatest height in the pole vault. Dalpiaz, Cavenah, Spalding looked good in the high iump. In the weights Key, Thome, Spalding, Ballard, Cochran, Mull-er, Mull-er, Lyman, and Mahaffey made some good heaves. The hurdles were slow with MuU-er, MuU-er, Wood, Dalpiaz. Bertelson, Spald ing, Herebert, Lott and Moody leading lead-ing in many heats. Candland, Moody. Muller led in the 440 yard run, while in the distance races KeussefT, Lyman, and Candland won the honors. Spalding, Ballard, Bal-lard, Muller and Brush handled the javelin to best advantage. The broad jump honors were taken by Owens, Cochren, Dalpiaz, Jones, Spalding and Brush. . The Tigers have their first meet next week when they travel to Logan Lo-gan and have their annual meet with the Aggie Freshman. |
