Show Ml. Pleasant To Have Community Fair September Eighth Mt. Pleasant will hold her third annual an-nual Community Fair this year on September 8th. according to a decision recently arrived at by local Farm Bureau Officers and Committeemen in charge. Mr. A. E. Darley local Smith-Hughes High School agricultural agricultur-al teacher is chairman of the commute and is assisted by Art Frandsen of the Lions Club, President A. F. Reynolds and Secretary Geo. C. Sorensen of the Farm Bureau. ' There will be held in connection with the fair, this year for the first time a community flower show, Mrs. S. D. Longsdorf is committee-woman in charge of this end of the fair. The latter has applied for the services of Prof. Emil Hansen Landscape Gardener Garden-er of the Agricultural College, to assist with the flower show. In addition to judging the flower exhibit. Prof. Hansen Han-sen will give a public lecture the afternoon after-noon on "Home Floriculture, Propoga-lion Propoga-lion and care of House Plants." All classes of Livestock and crops, as well as domastic art and science displays dis-plays will be made. One of the outstanding out-standing features of the entire affair will be the exhibition and Demonstrations Demonstra-tions given by the Boys and Girls 4-11 Clubs. |
