Show Mrs. Ruby Jensen Has Pleasant Visit Out in California Mrs. Ruby S. Jensen returned Sunday Sun-day from California where she spent a month renewing acquaintences with friends she made while there as a missionary ten years ago. She. made San Barnardino her headquarters where she visited the Orange Show, the annual event which has made San Barnardino and environment famous. Mrs. Jensen has a host of friends in Southern California who made her very welcome and showed her every place of attraction in that wonderful semi-tropical clime. She visited many places of interest, among which werb the big orange show, Catalina Island, an oasis in the desert, the "Rim of the World Drive," 110 miles, the "Mission Play" at San Gabriel, She also went to Tia Juana, Mexico. She went to an Egyptian theatre at Holloywood. Parties were given in her honor at San Diego, Los Angeles and San Barnardino Bar-nardino by the St. Elmo club, the Golden Gol-den State club, Native Sons and Daughters, and the Pioneer Society The old members of the San Diego branch entertained at a Home Coming Com-ing at the Turnbough home. At the orange show Mrs. Jensen was given a bottle of Orange Marmolade jyhich took first prize of $50.00. It was made by Mrs. Mack. The Smith Haile family, the John Brown family and the Randolph Seely family did so many things to make Mrs. Jensen happy while on the coast. While in San Bernardino she was guest of SmithHaile and Mr. and Mrs. Hal Rodden. At Los Angeles she . was guest of Jean Daynes and Marion Cutler, Cut-ler, and at San Diego she was guest of Florence Turnbough and Anita Youngk On the return trip Mrs. Jensen stopped stop-ped with Florence Foremaster, a missionary mis-sionary compaion, for a two day's visit vis-it at St. George. The trip was a most pleasant one for Mrs. Jensen. |
