Show American Legion As mentioned in last weeks issue that we expected a good feed and large ournout. we were not disappointed in either Monday night. The question of when our next fight will be was not settled, however we hope to stage it on April 2nd. if possible, pos-sible, but we have not succeeded as yet in tying up Lauritzen. ever tho he has expressed his willingness to meet Beck in a return match, he wants us to do the impossible to make it a go. However How-ever if we do not get him we have two other good men in mind, one a Mr. Ivie of Salina who has been showing up exceptionally well as a fighter in that section, and if we can get him he will make Earl Beck hustle, and we are positive or a genuine bout if those 'two are matched up. I Two new members were added to lour roll Monday night, Dr. Alden L. Peterson, and Wm. Burnside, we wel-icome wel-icome them in and hope they will bring some others in too. "Doc" got on K. P. first pass, that's rather tough on a I recruit, but he's game we know, so be 'out boys next time and see him in the new role. If he's as good a cook as he lis a dentist your'e taking no chances. I We thank the dancing public who attended our St. Patricks dance Saturday Sat-urday night Wm. L. Madsen and ihs partner Mrs. Le Roy Christensen and a Mr. Winter from Idaho and partner :were judged a tie as prize waltzers (and very deservingly. I Doctor Holman president of the Lions club and a real good friend of 'local Legionnaries has. some fine ideas that if are materialized (and there is. no reason why they shouldn't be would jhelp Mt. Pleasant considerably, one is that of organizing a baseball team for the coming season. In supporting athletics ath-letics the Legion feels this is a splendid move. Mt. Pleasant should have a ball team, they had one of the best in the state years ago the old timers say, what's the matter to-day, are we getting get-ting behind times, in this respect?
