Show Faith, Patience, Fortitude, Courage In an article on the severity and extent of the depression in this country, the Manchester, England, Guardian says: "Under all these trials the American people have behaved with admirable admir-able fortitude and patience." That is a fine testimonial to the-temper the-temper of our people. They have, perhaps better than any other people in the world, borne inescapable ines-capable burdens without losing either faith or courage. They have realized that drastic, thoughtless action is not necessary that, in the normal course of events, our problems will be solved. They have put shoulders to the wheel and have bent every resource to meeting meet-ing the exigencies of depression. A people who can do as our people have done in a time of unprecedented stress, need hava no fear for the nation's future. |
