Show MT. PLEASANT CITY TENNIS TOURNAMENT Local tennis stars will compete in a city tournament starting Friday, Fri-day, July 29th. Approximately 30 entrants will take part in the matches. Men's singles and doubles, doub-les, mixed doubles, ladies singles and doubles, and boys' singles and doubles will constitute the tournament. tourna-ment. In the men's singles the following follow-ing players are seeded: Harold Wall, Wilson Keuseff, Reese Anderson, An-derson, and Ed Johnston. In the men's doubles the outstanding out-standing teams seem to be Steve and Wilson Keuseff, Ed Johnston and Reese Anderson, and George Madsen and Ben Candland. Ross Anderson and Steve Keuseff Keu-seff seem to be the most formidable formid-able contenders for the boys' single sin-gle crown. Among the stronger teams oi mixed doubles are: Mr. and Mrs. Ray Bohne, Myrtle Johnston and Bert Averett, Lucile Hansen and Ed Johnston. This is the initial attemtp at a local tournament and it is hoped that it wall become an annual event. Citizens of Mt. Pleasant are invited to watch the matches which will be free of charge. |
