Those present were: Mrs. Joseph Prestwich, Mrs. Lloyd Blackham, Mrs. - Ray Anderson, Mrs. Leo Morley, Mrs. C. W. Jensen, Jen-sen, Mrs. Elmo Irons, Mrs. Morgan Mor-gan Lamb, Mrs. Blaine Draper, ivirs. Russel Bailey, Mrs. Ellis' Draper, Mrs. James M. Larsen, Mis. Roy Storey and Mrs. Marvin Anderson. Refreshments were served. ser-ved. Mrs. Amy Hardy is visiting In Sprmgville with ner son, John, and lamily. Mrs. Jonn D. Bailey is visiting in California . with her children. Mi-, and Mrs. Cenus Christensen Christen-sen announce the marriage of their daughter, Vanda, to Mr. Horace Draper, both of this city. Mrs. Ray Trescut of Newark, Cauiornia has been visiting relatives rela-tives in Moroni. She returned home Tuesday and her mother, Mrs. Caroline Draper, accompany ied her to her home. Mrs. Aaron Hardy of Los Angeles, An-geles, California is with her daughter, Mrs. Vincent Christensen, Christen-sen, who is very ill at the Dice hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Josiah Blackham Jr. announce the marriage of their son, Rupert, to Miss Virginia Virgin-ia Dewey of Tremonton. They were married in the Manti Temple Tem-ple July 22nd. The Misses Rhoda Draper and Melba Rundquist of Salt Lake were visiting last week with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Amos Draper Sr. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Oakie of Nephi announce the birth of a baby girl at the Dice hospital. The mother was formerly Miss Nellie Gee of this city. The Bridge club enjoyed a weinner roast at Riverside Friday night. Funeral services for Mrs. Jane Parry Weston were held in the West ward chapel Sunday afternoon. after-noon. Bishop Ephraim Nelson was in charge. The choir sang "Sweet Hour of Prayer," "Jesus, Lover of My Soul," and "Shall We Meet Beyond the River?" The prayers were offered by Soren C. Nielsen and N. P. Sorensen. The speakers were Heber Anderson, Ander-son, Mrs. Eliza Bradley, Elmo Irons, Ir-ons, and Bishop Nelson. Miss Alice Syme sang a vocal solo. Miss Parry Par-ry of Manti gave a violin solo and Sam Parry of Manti rendered a vocal solo. Mrs. Weston as born in Kner-ton Kner-ton Flinshire, England, January 12, 1847. She married Alfred Wm. Weston In Liverpool, England in 1870. They came to America in 1885 and have been residents of Moroni for 47 years. Seven children were born to them. She is survived by her husband hus-band and five children: Alfred S. Weston, Mary E. Weston and William Wil-liam Weston of Moroni; Mrs. Caroline Car-oline G. Beckstrom of Salt Lake City, and John H. Weston of Mil-ford, Mil-ford, Utah; also 8 grandchildren. She passed away at her home July 21, after a lingering Illness. July 24 was celebrated in a big way in Mornl. It began with a midnight frolic in Joyland at !2:05 a. m. Monday, the hoisting of the flag at sunrise and the harmonica har-monica band serenaded the town from 5 to 8 a. m. At 10 a. m. the following program pro-gram was given in the West ward chapel under the direction of the Daughters of the Pioneers: Selection, Selec-tion, high school orchestra; prayer pray-er Bishop Ephraim Nelson; community com-munity s'ihging, "Utah We Love Thee;" address of welcome, Mrs. Eliza Bradley, president of the pioneers; two selections, harmonica harmoni-ca band; "When You And I Were Young Maggie" dramatized by Earl Syme, Miss Alice Syme, Oporsre Anderson, Miss Geniel Jensen, Collin Rhodes and Olive Olsen under the direction of Mrs. Ophelia Rhodes; tribute to pioneers, pion-eers, Bishop Morgan Lamb; reading, read-ing, Mrs. LeRoy Christensen; selections, se-lections, harmonica band; short talk, Mayor Franklin Hansen; prayer, John E. Jensen; selection, high school orchestra. At 12 o'clock noon the pioneers were entertained by the Daughters of the Pioneers. At 2 p. m. a real program was given at the ball park with something doing all the time from 2 until 6. A free barba-cue barba-cue was served by the Sorosis club. Twelve hundred sandwiches were given away. At 6 p. m. a free children's dance was given in Joyland. There was also a merry go round for the children. The concluding fea-t,-o was a hie dance at Joyland. People from far and near were in attendance and remarked that thev had never attended a better celebration. One thousand PeoplP attended the program at the ball nark on that day. Moroni will furnish the program for the Black Hawk at Fairview the first night of the ratln and the harmonica band will furnish fur-nish music in the parade on Wednesday. Child of Honolulu. She was formerly Miss Eunice Stevens of Ephraim i Special guests were Mrs. Perry Olved and Miss Grace Madsen of , Fountain Green; Mrs. Farncss cf j Honolulu; Mrs. N. P. Sorensen and Mrs. John Irons of Moroni.; Dainty refreshments were served. Mrs. Child has returned to her home in Honolulu. Her husband was a former superintendent of the People's Sugar Factory at Moroni. i Will the person who helped them-i them-i selves to my purse return it, and avoid trouble?
