Word has been received here of the death of Miss LaNila Jackson, age 18, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas C. Jackson of Provo, who died of heart trouble last Saturday. f uneral services were held in Provo Pro-vo Wednesday, November 30 ami the body was brought here foi burial. They were former resident oi this city. The family has the sympathy of their many relatives and friends.' Word was received this week by Lyda Guyman of an accident to her son, John, who received a broken left wrist but is improving rapidly now. He is attending the National School of Automobile Mechanics in Los Angeles, California. Cal-ifornia. Many families in the community held reunions pn Thanksgiving day. Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Beck have moved to Chester this week where they have leased a farm for the coming year. Lynnwood Rasmussen and Jewel Lund left Saturday for Los Angeles in their automobile in . search of work. Mrs. Lena Livingston and Mrs. Bertha Christiansen spent Thanksgiving Thanks-giving day at the sheepherd with their sons, Max Livingston and Frank Jorgensen. Miss Wanda Robertson and her brothers, Joseph and Doyle, who are all away at school, spent the Thanksgiving holiday with relatives rela-tives and friends here. Every ward' was well represented at the priesthood and union meeting meet-ing of Moroni stake, which was held last Sunday afternoon at Moroni. Mr. and Mrs. J. O. Larson of Ephraim spent Thanksgiving day with Mr. and Mrs. Averil Larson and Mr. and Mrs. Merril Sorenscn. ' Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Mayer announce an-nounce the birth of a baby girl on November 29. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Bailey announce the birth of a daughter on November 30. The mother was formerly Miss Vee Hansen. Mr. and Mrs. Leland Despain and two children of Birch Creek met with an accident Thursday forenoon as they were on their way to town. Their team became startled and jumped and Mr. Des pain fell out of the buggy. The horses crashed into an electric light pole and the buggy was completely demolished. They were rushed to the home of Clinton Oldroyd, and Dr. Dice, who was summoned, found nothing seriously serious-ly wrong. Mr. Despain and Donley escaped without injury but Mrs. Despain received a sprained ankle, bad bruises and a severe nervous shock and the two-year old baby received a bad cut on the chin. |
