Show Deer Hunter Is Fined $200 C. L. Jensen of Kenilworth was arrested just south of Spring City Sunday by Deputy Game Warden R. L. Turpin of Fairview and charged with killing deer out of season. He was taken before Justice Jus-tice of the Peace S. W. Allred of Spring City, pleaded guilty and was fined $200, with the alternative of serving 90 days in the county jail. Turpin and a brother-in-law, Ernest Peterson of Fairview, were on their way to Ephraim when they heard a shot in the cedars east of the highway. They found that a car had turned from the road and gone into the cedars, and soon after heard two more shots. Following the car tracks, they came to the automobile. A short time later, Turpin testified, Jensen and two brothers, Max and Rollo Jensen of Spring City, came up, covered with blood from a male fawn, which lay a short distance away. C. L. Jensen assumed as-sumed the blame and exonerated the others. |
