Show I FAIRVIEW ! By Special Correspondence Mrs. Jordan Brady celebrated her 8F,th birthday at her home Wednesday. She is the oldest woman wo-man in Fairview. Dinner was served serv-ed to a large number of relatives, including two sisters and a num- ber of children and grandchildren. Mrs. Brady was bora in New York state November 27, 1844. She came to Utah in 1852 and settled In Fairview in 1860 She was the daughter of Edmond W. and Sarah Howell. She is the mother of thirteen thir-teen children and has a large number of grandchildren and great grandchildren. She married Jordan Brady December 10, 1861. They wiU soon celebrate their seventy-first seventy-first wedding anniversary. Mrs. John L. Bench celebrated her fiftieth birthday anniversary at the gymnasium Saturday, November Nov-ember 26. A sumptuous Thanksgiving Thanks-giving dinner was served to more than 60 guests. An excellent program pro-gram of songs, music and speeches was given. Out of town guests included in-cluded Mrs. O. K. Hansen and two daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Devere Hansen, and . Mr. and Mrs. Reese Bench of Provo, Dr. and Mrs. John R. Anderson of Springville, Mr. and Mrs. Chris Olsen and Christa Olsen of Payson. The program was followed by a social hour of dancing. Mrs. Nephi Cruser of Salt Lake City is a guest of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jordan Brady. The marriage of Miss Allie Graham, Gra-ham, daughter of Mr. James Graham, Gra-ham, and Mr. Harold Hatten of Flow Well is . announced. They were married recently. A shower was given Saturday evening by a number of the bride's friends at the home of her sister, Mrs. Thel-ma Thel-ma Williams. Games, music and luncheon were enjoyed by twenty-five twenty-five guests. Mr. and Mrs. William Lewellyn announce the arrival of a baby girl. The mother was formerly Miss Twila Hansen. Mrs. S. B. Rigby entertained the Bridge club Thursday evening. Luncheon was served to fifteen ladies. Mrs. Olea Cox won high score. Cleon Lassen and Mrs Frank Coombs were special guests. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Jensen of Castle Gate announce the arrival of a baby girl. Mrs. Jensen was formerly Miss Rebecca Miner of Fairview. Mrs. Alma Miner spent the week visiting relatives in Ephraim. Mrs. Orsen Miner is visiting Mr. and Mrs. Reed Jensen of Castle Gate. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hatten are visiting relatives here this week. Mrs. Vilate Sorensen went to Springville this week where she expects to spend the winter. Mr. and Mrs. John R. Graham went to Salt Lake City this week where Mr. Graham will undergo an operation. |
