The East ward choir furnished the singing for quarterly conference confer-ence at Fountain Green Sunday afternoon under the direction of James Hardy, president of the choir, with Mrs. Blaine Draper organist and Mrs. P. J. Drapei Jr. choruster. The Sorosis club and their husbands hus-bands were royally entertained at a Thanksgiving party Monday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyde Blackham. A hot chicken supper was served at 8 o'clock to the following: Mr. and Mrs. Roy Storey, Mrs. Joseph Prestwitch. Mr. and Mrs. Mozart Larsen, Mr. and Mrs. James M. Larsen, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Blackham, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Anderson, Mr. and Mrs. Russel Bailey, Mr. and Mrs.' Lewis Blackham, Black-ham, Mr. and Mrs. Cleon Anderson, Ander-son, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Anderson, Mr. and Mrs. John R. Blackham, Mr and Mrs. Blaine Draper, Mrs. Ellis Draper, Mrs. Mert Draper and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyde Blackham. Black-ham. After supper six tables of Rook were played and Mrs. Russel Eailey and Ernest Blackham won high score prizes and Mrs. Roy Storey and Ray Anderson were given consolation prizes. The Liens Club of Moroni 'entertained 'enter-tained at the third annual Ladies night November 20. The following program was given in the gymnasium: gym-nasium: Song, "America," by the entire assembly:: invocation, Jos-; eph Christiansen, President of the Moroni Stake; musical solcctiou, Royal Entertainers of Fountain Green; words of welcome, Ernest R. Anderson, President of Moroni Lions Club; Report of Achievements Achieve-ments and projects of the Moroni Lions Club, Darol Rasmussen, secretary; sec-retary; "What Lionism Means", President E. J. Johnson of the Fountain Green Lions Club; "Work of Lions Clubs. H. R. Myrs, Past President of Ephraim Lions Club. A turkey dinner was served to 74 guests, after which the following follow-ing program was given m the Assembly Hall. Song, "We Are The Lions," by entire assembly; song, Sam Parry, Manti; talk, District Governor Dr. Guy S. Richards, American Fork; Women's Wo-men's Rights, Miss Jarushu Henderson, Hen-derson, Sam Parry, Manti; song, "Good Old Lions' Smile", by entire assembly; A .Visitor .from Fort Ephraim, Pratt Peterson; musical selection, Royal Entertainers; "Filbert Nutt in LoveTom Parry, Manti; song, Sam Parry, Manti. The program was in charge of Rodney L. Anderson, Chairman and the toastmaster was Ernest R. Anderson. After the program dancing Wfs enjoyed in the gymnasium gym-nasium until 12:30. |
