Show FOUNTAIN GREEN I By Special Correspondence Word was received Monday by John A. Holman of the death of his brother-in-law, John Lowe of j Beaver. Death occured at Garfield and the body was removed to Beaver Beav-er where funeral services were held Thursday afternoon. A large number num-ber of relatives from Fountain Green were in attendance at the funeral services. Thanksgiving Day proved to be a real home coming day as well as a holiday for many families in oui city. There was a childrens dance in the afternoon, and a dance m the evening sponsored by the local Primary Association. Matthias All-red All-red received the quilt which wai given away. A large crowd was in attendance. The local Y. L. M. I. A. prepared a splendid free program which was given Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Piayer was offered by Myrum Lund after which "Our Yesterdays" and "In the Valley of Golden Dreams" was sung by Bessie Anderson and Jean Crowther. Evanelle Anderson Ander-son gave a musical reading, "In the Oid School House." A one act play, "In the Making," was presented pre-sented and everyone in the cast did exceptionally well The players were as follows: Max Livingston, the judge: Reva Livingston, Mrs. Truman: Barbara Jensen, Mrs. Se-lesky; Se-lesky; Beth Hanson, Leah Selesky; Clair Collard, Spencer Truman; Reah Lund. Miss King. Following the play "That Gray Haired Daddy cf Mine" was sung by a girls chorus chor-us composed of Zola Holman, Gen-rva Gen-rva Crowther, Katie Allred. Oleia Allred, Arvilla Mikkelson. The closing clos-ing prayer was given by Lillian Ivory. Iv-ory. Mrs. Mary J. Oldroyd has returned return-ed from Glcnwood. Utah where she has spent the past six weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Geo. E. Coombs and children spent Thanksgiving and the weekend in Salt Lake Ciiv. where they visited with their scn-m-iaw and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Tred Fahrni. A shower was given Friday eve-iiins eve-iiins at the heme of Mr. and Mrs. j. D. Coombs in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Coombs. On Tuesday eirr.ing a shower was given by Mr and Mrs. Roy Christiansen :n hj-.nor cf Mr and M-s. j Booth Cook. Many relatives and fri.-nds were present at both shov,-I shov,-I '-r.. Delicious refreshments were j-erved at both homes and the hon-jor hon-jor guests received many beaut:;':! j and useful girts. ) Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Allred spent :h? v.vrk at Centerfield with their children there. |
