Show Prank at School Costs Life of Fairview Youth A school boy prank putting a tack on the desk seat of a fellow student in Fairview, cost the latter his life. Fred Stewart, 14, son of Bessie Hughes and Cyrus Stewart, died Saturday from blood poisoning caused by sitting on the tack. He was a student of the ninth grade, from Milburn, attending high school at Fairview. One day in school a fellow student put a tacc on his seat, and the unsuspecting boy sat on the tack. The wound developed an infection, which went into blood poisoning, from which he died. Funeral services were held Monday. Mon-day. He is survived by his parents, four brothers and three sisters. |
