Show Relatives were advised Saturday norning of the death in Idaho of .Vaohington Averett, a pioneer resident resi-dent of Mt. Pleasant. Sorensen. Mr. and Mrs. P. H. Madsen have ;one to Salt Lake where Mr. Madsen will submit to an operation for tnc removal of his right eye. Mr. Madsen '.vas struck in the eye by a piece of kindling while chopping wood about two weeka ao, which resulted in the njury to his eye. Mrs. Jean Meyrick Gibbs formerly of San Diego, California was the honor hon-or guest at a card party given Friday Fri-day evening by her parents, Mr. and M'.-s. J. D. Meyrick, assisted by Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Poulson, at the Meyrick Mey-rick home. Five tables of 5 00 were played vith prizes awarded to Mrs. E. M. lohnston, S. 3. Atkin and I E. Jor-gensen. Jor-gensen.
