Show Proper Manner of Addressing Mail Third Assistant Postmaster General. Washington, January 2 0, 1926. Because of carelessnes3 in addressing address-ing matter for mailing and failure to place the address and return card thereon in the usual and proper manner, man-ner, postmasters are again requested to uirge patrons to address their mail fully and correctly and place the address ad-dress and return card in the proper position on enevlopes or wrappers. It is not only necessary that the iddres3 be complete and correct, jut that it be arranged in the cus-'ornery cus-'ornery manner so as to facilitate he reading of the address when landling the mail wilii the rapidity equired and to prevent . improper reatment and delay. To this end he addressee's street address, box ramber, or the number of his rural Tii-i'ie should be placed under his ame and above the name of the iost office and State, in the lower ight portion ot the address side, he sender's return oard being placed n the upper left hand corner, as ndicaited in the model form of ad Ires'-., return caird, etc., appearing slow: titer 5 days return to John C.
