Show State Wide Interest in i Taxpayers Convention J State wide interest is manifest in j Uie coming convention of the Utah i Taxpayers Association. The Genual Gen-ual Committee made up of elien .'piesentaiives of all taxing inter-i inter-i MS in the itii'ie have called the conn ' ccmm.keemen from all the coun l.es of Utah to meet with thum fo.-a fo.-a discussion of the problems peculiar pecul-iar to thli, state. According to Chairman Henry If. Rolapp who is head of this state piganization, every county in ti e slate has a thorough-going tax organization. Every taxing interest inter-est in the county is represented. Every town in the county has ils 'spokesman on the committee so that a through cross section of taxpayers is had in each county group. After months of contact with public pub-lic officials, these country tax oigan--izatiohs are in a position to report their findings at the coming con-vtn con-vtn ion. Some have achieved exceptional ex-ceptional results in pointing out to the pr.bl'lc officials how levies could br, lowered, how proposed bond issues is-sues weie unnecessary and how a number of proposed expenditures could be deferred. These illuminating illumin-ating reports will be given at til': convention, other subjects for discussion dis-cussion bein.-r as follows: budgetary system, independent audit, bond issue:, is-sue:, srihool expenditures, etc. These srhir-' Is.v.lM ,t'.1 be treated in a technical tech-nical and thorough going maimer. Our county has a wide awake county committee cinder the direction direc-tion of L. R. Anderson. It is expected ex-pected that a representative delegation dele-gation will go from this county to the convent'on which is to be held at the Newhouse Hotel, December 7 ill. It is understood that any other taxpayeru in this county who 'Care to attend the convention may j bu named as a delicate upon application appli-cation to Mr. Anderson. The very fact that the problem is an outstanding one in America today to-day should gain for the efforts of '.he Utah Ta ipayei s Association the undivided support of every citizen of Ihe state.
