Christie, according to reports, was playing ilong a sand bank and was with two companions. The children were jigging in the sand and were making ti'ves, when suddenly several hun-ied hun-ied pounds of sand became loosened did swept down swiftly on the unfortunate un-fortunate girl. The other twe children, Opal Hyatt and Ada Tilby, ise 8 and 12 years, who were with Christie, escaped Injury.
