Show Marines May Leave South Washington Hope of the administration adminis-tration for early withdrawal of at least a portion cf the American marines mar-ines on duty in Nicaragua was expressed ex-pressed at the White House. It was said, that pacification of the war-torn republic remains the only basis on which withdrawal could be affected, and President Coolldge has reached no decision as to just when the troop movement can begin. On the basis of recent victories by President Diaz's conservative army over tho Saoasa liberals and on private advices Mr Coolldge nevertheless Is optimistic that tho civil war Is aproaching an end. |
