Show GRAND OFFICERS IKE OFFICIAL VISIT HERE I Officers ..of the grand chapter,' order of-, the Eastern Star of Utah, paid an official, visit to Ivy Chapter, No. 10, last evening. In the party were Mi:s. Myrta M. BlumenthaV errand matron, and Mrs. Laura E. Wittemore. grand lecturer of Provo, Mrs. Frances G. Shields, grand secretary secre-tary and Mrs. Maude C. Stevens, f.rand conductress of Salt Lake, Mrs. Dlira Nelson girand warder of P.ich- field, Mrs. Atlessa L. Scott, past grand matron, of Salt Lake, and K. W. Wall grand sentinel of this city visiting membors. More than forty in number, were present from Salt Lake Provo, Richfield, Garfield, and Gunnison. A banquet dn honor of the visitors .preceded the initiatory ceremones, J during which music was furnished by hr- Stevens !: lo. The degress of the order were con- frrred upon Mr?. Oceanna B. Carter ( A gift from the chapter was present- ed to Mrs. B'.umenthal by Mrs. Stanley H. Gill and a -group of songs, werei sun? by Mn. and Mrs. Stanley; H. Hi".. Flowers were also presented f to M:ts. Rlumenthal and ' associate grand officers. The worthy patron of Ivy Chapter, O. F. W:all also presented pre-sented to Mrs. Blumenthal to be used( r'.urin? her turn of office, a beautiful ( hand carved gavel, made of olive wood, and sent from the Holy L?.r.d to the local chapter, by Miss Grace iae Sample. |
