Former President William Howard Taft Saturday night gave the Bonneville club his conception concep-tion of the present social and economic eco-nomic scheme, with suggestions for measures that are now necessary to safeguard the interests of the country. Beginning with an exposition of the constitution of the United States, the principles of individual liberty, th rule of the people and equality of opportunity op-portunity which It has made possible and to which it has been adapted through the 130 years of the nation, Mr. Taft made a comparison of the I system under which we have developed devel-oped with that of Bolshevist Russia, and in conclusion presented methods for meeting such Bolshevist menace as there may be in this country.
