Show FAIBVIEW On Sunday, November 19th. at the Sacrament meeting in the Fairvlew South Ward Bishop H. P. Hanen and counselors, who had resigned, were honorably released with a vote f thanks for their efficient labors. Peter Sundwall, Jr. was sustained as bishop. He chose as his counselors, coun-selors, E. H. Anderson and Sidney S. Sanderson. All were sustained by unanimous vote. President A. Merz and counselors and several high counoilmen were present. Speeches were given by J. W. Anderson, Pres. Merz and by the new bishopric. Stake officers of the M. I. A. attended at-tended the South Ward Mutual meeting meet-ing Tuesday night and reorganized the Y. M. M. I. A. with the following officers, Chauncy V. Howell, president. presi-dent. Newell Cox and Peter Neilson were selected as councilors. Rulon Rasmussen was chosen as secretary. In addition to the regular class work a testi mondial was given in honor of Mrs. Newel Cox. and Mrs. Orange Olsen, retiring officers of the Young Ladies association. A token ot rememberance was presented to each in aprpeciation of their labors. A hne musical program was given, nd "refreshments served to all. A special program will be given Tuesday, Tues-day, November 28th. by the MuUaU in each Fairview ward in honor o1' the fathers and mothers. All par- ents are invited. A meeting was held by the Elders Quorum of the South Ward Sunday 'at 1 o'clock. The quorum was reorganized re-organized with the following as of-ficors: of-ficors: Aaron Cheney, president: Cr3on Miner and- Evan Cox, counselors; counsel-ors; Lawrence H. Larsen, secretary. j Mrs. W. O. Christensen of Wolls- I'ville is a guest at the honia of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter bunu-wall, bunu-wall, Sr. Mr. , and Mrs. Ray Stewart of Nephi spent Saturday and Sunday w'th Fairview relatives. Mrs. Oscar Christopherson of Bur-ley, Bur-ley, Idaho spent the past week visit ing her aged mother, Mrs. Magnusen, and other relatnes here. ' Mrs. Herny Mills went to Salt Lake Sunday where she Is the guest of her daughter, May Taylor. Amos Rasmussen of Fairview and Miss Julia Christensen of Nephi were married in the Manti Temple Wednesday, Wed-nesday, November 15th. They will make their home at Fairview. Glen Hansen of Fairview and Mies Melba Jensen of Milburn were married mar-ried at Manti November 20th. A Teoeption was given in their honor at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Peter H. Hansen. Supper was served to about 40 guests. On Tuesday a wedding supper was .served at the home of th bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Jensen to a large number of relatievs and friends. Miss Fern Tucker went to Sal'. Lake City this week to romaln for the winter. Mrs. Elnora Stewart want to Salt Lake City Mommy. one spend the winter there with her son, Devirl Stewart. Mrs. Joseph Barnes of Nephi spent the week end with Fairview relatives |
