Show EMERY COUNTY FAIR. With the work, of compiling the premium list over with and the work on the fair grounds coming along in extra fine shape, the officials having in charge the second big Emery county fair to held September 28, 29, and 3 0, are now giving their whole attention to the lining up of one of the be3t sport programs ever pulled pull-ed off in the state. As at present arranged for, there will be nine races on the 'opening day and at least the same number and probably more on the two succeeding days. The speed program is being supervised by Dee Leavitt, a horseman who is known I from one end of the state to the other and everyhing is shaping up in great ! style. There will also be three big matched ballgames but these will not be allowed to interfere with the other sports and will probably be tiiiilied to seven innings. It is plann- eel to have one of these games betwen i outside teams either between Sanpete San-pete and Carbon county teams or be-j be-j tween two of Carbon county's best mines. : The races will include automobile race, wild horse races, and novelty I races besides regular fast entries and I the greatly enlarged track promises to be in tip top shape. There wil' be some Reservations racing stuff here for fhe races and it likely that Sevier county will also be here. The riding contests will be made a I strong feature each of the three days but tliey will be so arranged that they will not pall on .the crowd through loi drawn out stalling around in the way of saddling and i niour.i' ing. A chute is being con-;t,-uotcd to facilate this feature and one animal will no more than stop performing than another will be ready and out before the ground-stand. ground-stand. The races, too, will be pulled pull-ed off with dispatch and everything possible will be done to keep things moving. All the Emery county riders who made such records at Mt. ! f'pnsant will be seen at work and, what is more, they will be properly ren 'jnerated for their good work in this istance. Some hiiih class boxing and wrestling wrest-ling matches for the early cvonlii.T, after the finish of the afternoon sports are being arranged for, but or.lv such as will assure the public ?vv!ng their money's worth will be secured. The fame of the fair is spreading 'I'ar and wide, apparently, from the ranee of inquiries comii'iT in regard-' regard-' ng concessions and entertlnmont of vrious kinds. The only question bothering the fair authorities is what, to iiccept of all that offered. The official program and prelmum was issued this week from the l'ro-Ti'sii l'ro-Ti'sii p'"s and Is now in process of of mailing. 1' is in: rv led that every familv in 'the county have one of those lists and any that may uo overlooked in mailing will be taken ci-re cf if they will make (heir wishes known. Each list is accompanied by an entry slip for use in properly entering anything it Is desired to ' exhibit. The banks can y instructions instruc-tions lor filling out and additional blanks may be secured from the varl- jous supervisors or fair officials. The book is a 4 2-pa-ge one and of itself speaks for the spirit 'that Is ex-istant ex-istant in the counly in relation to the fair movement. There are but one or two business establishments of any kind in this whole part of Emery "county that are not represented among the advertisers who have made the book possible.
