On Sunduy evening Ward Conference Confer-ence was held at Fairview. Henry Jones was sustained as second coun-1 sellor to Bishop H. P. Hansen to take the place of H. S. Olsen. Mrs. Dora Rawlinson was sustained as t"urlor in the Y. L. M. I. A. ' in place of Mrs. Alden Peterson. William Rigby was put in as ward clerk. President A. Merz and Daniel Rasmussen were present and gave timely remarks. j On Wednesday, Mrs. L'ancy Morton Mor-ton entertained a number of friends in honor of her birthday. An ex-1 cellent luncheon was served and a very pleasant afternoon spent. Mr. and Mrs. Martin Whltbeck went to Provo last week. Mr. Whitbeck will attend the B. Y. U. the coming winter. - Miss Mildred Sanderson is spending spend-ing the week in Salt Lake City with relatives. E. L. Miner was a Salt Lake City visitor Saturday and Sunday. John Mower of Ogden was a Fair-view Fair-view visitor this week. . Miss Alice Christenson spent last week visiting in Salt Lake. J. W. Christainson and son. Elmo !of Fountain Green spent Saturday and Sunday vis'ting in Fairview. Mrs. Iris Housekeeper of Delta, who visited here the past month returned re-turned home this week. Harold Mower who -has spent the past summer at Marysvale returned home Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Johnson and family of Salt Lake City came to Fairview and spent labor day with relatives. Mrs. George Terry and children were guests at the home of James Anderson Sr. last week. On Wednesday evening a party was given at the pavilion by the Y. L. M. I. A. in honor of Mrs. Alden Peterson, who was a Counsellor in the mutual, but is going away for the winter. The evening was spent, in music, games and dancing. Refreshments Re-freshments were served to all present. pres-ent. On Saturday evening Miss Laurel Miner entertained in honor of Miss Francis Jensen of Mount Pleasant. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Jensen, Miss Carol Jensen, Miss Francis Jenson, Mr. and Mr. Swen O. Nielson, Mrs. Fred Olsen, Miss Verona Ver-ona Cox, Mr. and Mrs. A. U. Miner and Verda Miner. Vocal ' selections were Riven by Miss Francis Jensen and Laurel Miner and Piano selec tions were given by Miss Carol Jensen. Jen-sen. Dainty . refreshments were served. Roy Neilson of Tooele spent the past week in Fairview. He returned return-ed home Tuesday. |
