Show KAIKVIFAV. (The following news came in too late for publication last week.) Mrs. Stena Olsen spent the past ten clays visiting with her daughter, Mrs. Bert Willardson of Mayfield. Mr. and- Mrs. Parley Christiansen of Mayfield weie the guests of Mr.( and Mrs. Henry Terry the past week. Mrs. Orson Miner was called to Salt Lake City last week on account of the illness of her daughter, Miss Izetta Miner, who had pneumonia. She returned home this week, as the young woman is better. Mrs. :Kzeki"l Cheney, who spent the pas! month in Salt Lake City, returned re-turned home last week. ' Mrs. John Carlston spent a few days, at-Salt LakrJ City the past weelfv Mrs. Caroline Madsen and son, Albert, Al-bert, are Salt Lake visitors. Mrs. Lorenzo Larsen and two - children went to Buhl, Idaho this week where they will visit relatives for some time. Miss Ruby Graham and Miss Maud Ch'ristensen went to Salt Lake City this week to meet Harold Christeusen who is returning from Camp Lewis, Washington, where he has been in training since last summer. He was a member of the Medical corps. Laurin Peterson returned home last week after having been honorably honor-ably discharged from service in the U. S. Arnry. Mr. Peterson was a member of a regimental band. He trained at camps in both New York and New Jersey. Harold Brady went to Wyoming this week to visit with his brother, Simon Brady. Mrs. Charles Tucker and little daughter are spending the week at Salt Lake City visiting with Mr. Tucker. On Sunday evening Dr. Olsen of the University of Utah gave a very interesting lecture to a large audience aud-ience in the L. D. S. Chapel. His subject was "Health and Child Welfare." Wel-fare." A large number of mothers joined the Mothers' Chib. The social event of the week was a banquet given by the Commercial Club at the Cymmif ium. It was sivcn by the ne"' officer in honor of the out-going ones. Twelve young Indies dressed in white with red caps did the serving. The color scheme of while and red was also carried out in the decoration of the table. White and red carnations and white napkins with a red C, also white ice cream with a red C in the center served to bring into prominence the club emblem. em-blem. A dainty four course luncheon lunch-eon was served to over sixty guests. S. S. Sanderson acted as toasimaster and toasts, and speeches were made by Dr. S. B. Rfeby, II. M. Ttasnmssen, Bishop Hansen, A. IT. Miner, John L. "Bench, and Lionel Peterson. In the early part of the evening the guests were entertained by an Edison Thonograph. After the banquet dancing was enjoyed. The event closed with a matched game of volley vol-ley ball by club members. A successful character ball was given in the pavilion last Friday evening.
