Show YOUNG MEN STEAL BICYCLES AXO HORSES Saturday evening, April 5th, four young men of this city decided to take a pleasure trip to Moroni. Having Hav-ing no means of conveyance of their own they simply appropriated for the occasion bicycles belonging to Stanley Peterson and Willard Sclby. While on their way a terrific electric storm came up, which-necessitated their deserting the wheels, which they left in the fields near Moroni. They then decided that home, afterall, was the best place, and hoo.fing it for Mount Pleasant. When they arrived at the W. G. Wagstaff ranch west of town their feet were sore and their stOtggies were heavy with mud, so to their w2fy of reckoning, horse flesh was to be the aext appropriation. Finally they entered the barn of Mr. Wagstaff, securing without permission, per-mission, two fine steeds. One of these animals became suddenly lame after they had gone a short distance. Leaving the poor crippled animal by. the roadside, they all mounted the sound one, arriving at the depot at about one o'clock Sunday Sun-day morning. These young men are now in the custody of County Sheriff 'Fisher. |
