The congregation then -ang the "Star Spangled Banner," and the benediction was given by Carl Hansen. J. Morgan Johnson is among the business visitors in Salt Lake for a few days this week. Hyrum Jensen departed for Price Monday. Mrs. T. W. West and Mrs. Pratt Allred of Chester were visitors in Fairview Monday. Mr. and Mrs. James Jensen of Man-ti Man-ti we-,e Spring City visitors Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Martin Aldrich spent Sunday visiting with relatives in Spring City. S. T. Beck is a business visitor in Salt Lake and Draper this week. Mrs. Fred Candland of Chester was called to Salt Lake Wednesday on account ac-count of the illness of relatives. Claren Schofield departed for Garfield Gar-field Wednesday, from where he expects ex-pects to leave in a few days for service serv-ice in the U. S. army. State Superintendent, of Public In-structioh In-structioh Dr. Gowans and the local school board were inspecting the Spring City schools Wednesday. Last Thursday was the last day the old motors used for washing purposes could be used on account of completing complet-ing the installation of the new high power generator. . Mrs. A. P. Anderson is visiting with relatives in Ephraim this week. Holley Schofield and Linden Niel-son Niel-son arrived home the fore part of the week after a short time spent working work-ing for the Deseret Live Stock Co. The Tlome Economics club met in the Red Cross room at the public school building Wednesday and Thursday. Mrs. Anna Otto of Logan and Mrs. Fred Jorgensen of Ephraim were here for the purpose of aiding the ladies and giving instructions on 'he making over of old clothing. Many old clothes were brought in by the members and made into serviceable serv-iceable articles, in many instances nearly as good as new, the work being be-ing in charge of Mrs. Ellen Burdick, chairman of the Economics club. The M. C. U. C. ladies will meet at the home of Mrs. Ruth Aiken Friday afternoon. Mrs. J. M. Johnson reports that the Y. L. M. I. A. contributed $6 to the Red Cross this week. |
