Show mcvt SJnPv nun ml Lit Grand Celebration Planned For Thursday, March 20th. . The committees in charge of the iTenth Annual Celebration of the Mt. Pleasant Pioneer Historical Association Associa-tion have completed full arrangements arrange-ments for the big festival to be held Thursday, March 2 0th. At 2 o'clock p. m. the following program will be rendered at the North Ward chapel, Vice President C. W. Anderson presiding: pre-siding: Congregational Singing, conducted by Mrs. Tressa Ericksen "Come, Come Ye Saints." Invocation Peter Mogensen. Song Miss Goldie Nielsen. Reading of Minutes and Election of Officers. Song Miss Jane Peel. Spinning Wheel Demonstration, with musical accompaniment, by expert ex-pert Wool Pickers, Wool Carders and Spinners. Address Mayor W. D. Candland. Music Mandolin and Guitar Orchestra. Or-chestra. Address Amasa Aldrich. Vocal Duet Misses Ruby Larsen and Ruth M on sen. Benediction R. N. Bennet. The Relic Committee will, with the aid of the public, have a display of relics, curios and photos at the Library Li-brary building. It is desired that anyone having anything in this line will please report to Mrs. Hans Niel sen. In the evening there will be a grand ball in the Armory Hall. The hall will be appropriately decorated dec-orated and jolly old time dances enjoyed. en-joyed. There will be a grand march at 9 o'clock led by Mt. Pleasant's ' oldest couple, Mr. and Mrs. John Knudsen, if health and weather will permit them to be present. Refreshments Refresh-ments will be served by the ever faithful and jolly refreshment committee. com-mittee. Each lady attending is kindly kind-ly requested' to bring either 18 paper P wrapped sandwiches, 3 dozen cookies :k or 1 dozen dough nuts. The other ;t essentials for an old fashioned lunch ,i will be there. r No invitations have been issued to j anyone except the guests of honor, all those over 7 0 years of age. A cordial 'c. invitation is extended to all adults. Children under sixteen years will not be admitted unless accompanied by a chaperon. These celebrations have established establish-ed a record, and have become known as the one event of the year. Remember Re-member the date, place and cause. |
