Present were Messrs. and Mesdames Niels Anderson, Ander-son, Peter Sorensen, Peter Christoyh-erson, Christoyh-erson, Hans Nielson, Angus Black, Peter Frandsen, Mrs. Margaret Soren sen, Mrs. Stena Jensen, Misses Adelaide Ade-laide Salsburg, Befgetta Larsen, Pearl Thompson, and Charles Thompson Thomp-son and Master Fergus Thompson. The Spring City Junior High School boys met the Junior High School boys of Fairview on the hitters' hit-ters' floor at the Eclipse Pavilion last Friday evening. The game proved to be very fast and resulted in a score of 14 to 4 0 in favor of the Spring City team. Mr. Anderson is giving the home team considerable training and the team promises to be one of the fastest in this part of the state. Another game will be played at the Spring City Opera House next Friday Fri-day evening with the Mount Pleasant Juniors. A very pleasant affair of Friday evening was a surprise party of which Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Strate were the recipients. The crowd that came in 'Upon them so unexpectedly was provided with a variety of many good things to, eat. The evening was a most enjoyable one to all. Music, games, social conversation and refreshments re-freshments constituted the evening's pleasures. The following were present, pres-ent, Messrs. and Mesdames Bishop Nels A. Thompson, ex-Bishop W. L. Allred, Thomas Hayward, Fred Cand-.land, Cand-.land, George Sumsion, A. M. Brough, ,"W. J. Baxter, Mrs. Lewis Cloward, Mrs. W. M. Allred, Mrs. II. L. Sumsion. Sum-sion. Mrs. E. A. Nielson was the recip ient or a very ueiignuui surprise Saturday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. M. Aldrich, the occasion oc-casion being the sixty-seventh anniversary anni-versary of her birth. The friends and relatives who came to honor her brought presents and a variety of good things for the occasion. The; evening was very enjoyably spent in games, music and social conversation conversa-tion and supper was served at 8:30 to the following, Messrs. and Mesdames Mes-dames Edw'ard Allred, Joseph Aiken. Bishop Samuel Allred, Grant Nielson, L. W. Aiken, D. W. Larsen, Evan Densel and Vero Aiken, Mrs. Vera Larsen, Mrs. Myrtle Hansen, Mrs. Stena Aired, Mrs. Francis Madsen, Miss Louvee Nielson, Miss Opal Aiken, Ai-ken, Mrs. Margaret Griffiths and Mrs. E. A.
