Seely entertained enter-tained at an elaborate dinner Saturday Satur-day evening complimentary to Mr. and Mrs. Harry G. Ericksen. Covers were placed for seven. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Davis entertained enter-tained at dinner Monday evening for Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Christensen. 'Mrs. Mary Ann Reynolds, Frances Christensen and Floyd Larsen, Al-,vin Al-,vin and Bessie Christensen. Mr. and Mrs. J. Leo Seely entertained enter-tained at a delightful New Year's dinner Monday in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Ericksen and Mr. and Mrs. George A. Peterson. Covers were placed for twelve. . The Everetts family had aNunion on Christmas day at the horfi'e'oi' Mr. and Mrs. Fred Everetts in this city. A family dinner was served to thirty-two thirty-two people, nine of whom were children chil-dren of Mr. and Mrs. Everetts. Those from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Jensen and Mrs. George P. Weatherby of Ogden. Thursday evening the South Ward Quartet girls gave Harry Ericksen a hose shower. The evening's entertainment enter-tainment consisted of musical numbers num-bers which was followed by a luncheon lunch-eon which the young people provided. Those taking part in the entertainment entertain-ment were Ruby Larsen ,Ruth Monsen, Mon-sen, Wyona Cherry, Elmira Barton, lolin Knudsen, Willie Jones, Mer-tellus Mer-tellus Johansen and Maurice Jensen. Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Merz entertained entertain-ed at a splendid luncheon Saturday night for Mr. and Mrs. Boon Brother-son Brother-son of Rupert, Idaho. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. C. T. Dozen" of Fairview and their ladies. Dancing was enjoyed at the Opera House from 8 to 12 o'clock, when a sumptuous banquet was served serv-ed at the club rooms of the hosts. One of the social events of the holiday season was the dinner dance igiven New Year's eve by the H. H. G. club in the Elite Banquet Hall. The festivities began with an elaborate midnight dinner and were followed by dancing, music, toasts and impromptu im-promptu speeches. The guests were Mr. and Mrs. D. R. Jensen, Mr. and tMrs. E. H. Seely, Miss Gertrude Knudsen of Bingham, Mr. and Mrs. 'Edgar Madsen of Mackay, Idaho, Mr. nnd Mrs. Harry Ericksen, W. M. H. iLundberg, M iss Sophrona Olson of Fairview, Miss Delia Nelson, Miss Melba Aldrich, G. Ronald Nilson, IPearly Johnson, Francis Neilsen, 'Leonard Seely and J. H. Strauss of Salt Lake. A beautiful birthday celebration was given in honor of Mrs. H. R. Hrothersen Saturday by thirty-five of of her relatives and close friends. Twelve of Mrs. Brothersen's children were present and helped in the celebration cele-bration of the happy occasion. Mrs. Brothersen was the recipient of numerous nu-merous gifts hearing the good wishes of her many friends. After an elab-; orate dinner the guests attended a dancing party in Armory Hall, later returning to the Urotherseu home, where light refreshments were served. |
