Lewis was here Wednesday in the interest of the People's Sugar Co. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Barton went to Spanish Fork to spend the New Year with the McKell family. Henry Hughes returned to his home at Spry, Utah, after spending the holidays at Mount Pleasant. Mr. and Mrs. C. T. Drage had as their guests during the holidays, Mrs Ray Stringham and Mrs. Beck of Manti. Mr. and Mrs. Parnell Wilcox, returned re-turned to their home Wednesday at Kphraim after visiting with relatives in Mount Pleasant. ; Mr. and Mrs. Charier Le Graff and family of Heber City spent part of the holidays with relatives in this city. Zelda Rasmussen returned to her school work at Richfield Tuesday after aft-er spending Christmas vacation here at Mount Pleasant. Miss Nettie Beaumann returned to Logan Tuesday after spending the holidays with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Beaumann in this city. Mr. and Mrs. Leander Thompson of Ephralm were holiday visitors at the home of President and Mrs. A. Merz. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Leonard of Salt Lake spent New Year with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Amasa Erick- sen. Miss Gertrude Knudsen and sister, Vida, of Bingham, were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Knudsen Sunday Sun-day and Monday. Mrs. Owen Meiling and baby daughter of Lehi are the guests of Mrs. Meiling's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Anderson. Mrs. Sherman Allred returned to her home at Salt Lake Tuesday after a two weeks' visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. H. ErlcKseu. E. S. Walker of Oakland, California, Californ-ia, and Mr. and Mrs. O. R. Dibblee and family of Salt Lake City, were guests at the W. D. Candland home during the holiday season. E. D. Boyden came to Mount Pleasant Wednesday to visit her mother, Mrs. Peter Madsen, who passed her 77th milestone on that date. Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Madsen of Mackay, Idaho, left Mount Pleasant Monday, after spending the holidays with relatives and friends, for an extended ex-tended tour to the Pacific Coast. C. E. Lundberg of Spokane, Washington, Wash-ington, has just perfected a unique calendar pad which beats anything of the kind we ever saw. Mr. Lundberg sent one of these desk calandars to his uncle, Dr. A. Lundberg of this city. Mr. and Mrs. P. M. McArthur are enjoying an extended trip for the holiday season. They went to Price, Salt Lake and Boise, Idaho to visit with relatives. They expect to go to the coast and take a trip abroad to Honolulu, the paradise of the Pacific, Paci-fic, and spend the winter months before be-fore returning home. A party of workmen left Wednesday Wednes-day for the Piute Reservoir about nine miles south of Marysvale. The party consisted of John Matson, Joseph Jo-seph Matson, Dewey Scow, H. C. Mor-lcv, Mor-lcv, Abner Rosenlof, Angus Rosenberg, Rosen-berg, Cleon Poulsen and Alonzo Truscott. They will take part in 'reenforcing the dam of the great reservoir. res-ervoir.
