Show SPRING CITY . Mrs. vert Barney entertained a j few of her friends at her home on September 1st. An elaborate lunch- i eon was served to the following: Mrs. Marinus Mortensen, Mrs. Dan Jensen, Mrs. Evan Mortensen, Mrs. Royal Allred, Mrs. Pratt Osborne, Mrs. Lee Allred, Mrs. Kenneth Wil- ' Hams, Mrs. Guy Blain, and Mrs. Mont Jensen. Mrs. Herbert Allred of Preston. Nevada is visiting with relatives here. Mrs. Walt Rasmussen is visiting with her daughter in Salt Lake this week. I Mrs. Georgiana Lund announces : the engagement of her daughter, , Fawn to Mr. Warner Christensen. The wedding is set for September 1 20th. Mrs. Lola Backman Peterson and children of Salt Lake are visiting with relatives here. Jesse Billington, Jr. fell from a tree last Sunday and fractured his left arm. Dr. Sundwall was called to reduce the fracture. I i Several of Spring City's girls have left this week for other towns where they are engaged as teachers. Miss La Ver Osborne and Arthur Nunley were married in the Mantl Temple September 6th. A reception recep-tion was given in the evening at the home of the bride. The Bluebird swarm of the Beehive Bee-hive Girls held a party on September Bth. at the home of Cora Peterson, in honor of their departing beekeeper Miss Liona Larsen. A bounteous supper together with music games,! etc. was enjoyed by the following. I Liona Larsen. Iva Aiken, B?rgetta Jensen and all the girls of the swarm. Mrs. Clarance Hansen, Mrs. II. C. Hermansen, Miss Loa Allred and Miss Rowena Bunnell were hostesses at a miscellaneous shower given at the home of Mrs. Helena Bunnell September 4ih. in honor of Faun! Lund, a September bride. The Veiling was spent in games and music, and light refreshments were served. Coi-cmas and ros"s were used in profusion throughout the home and on the lawns which wer-? lighted for the occasion. Many beautiful gifts were received. Sixty' guests were in attendance. j |
