Show 1 FAIRVIEW Miss Belva Cox spent part of this '.week visiting in Provo. j Mrs. Caroline Miner, who spent the I past two . months visiting relatives j in Mesa, Arizona, returned home this: jweek. i Mrs. LeRoy Rigby visited relatives 'at Castle Gate and Clear Creek the past two weeks. Otto Peterson, who has spent the past month in Idaho, has returned home. Parley Christensen of Mayfield is guest at the home of his daughter, ' Mrs. Henry Terry. I Harold Mower, who joined the : navy more than a year ago. returned home Sunday, January 18th. He has had many interesting experiences and while in the service he visited 'the Phillipines, Japan, and a number of places in the Pacific. He spent nearly six months in Peking, China. During the past two months he was , stationed at Mare Island. Mr. ! Mower has been discharged with honor and is glad to be back home again. Mrs. Parley Powell of Coalville visited at the home of Walter Cox last week. ' On January 18th. sixty-five Boy Scouts, under the leadership of C. P. Olsen, attended the Sunday services held in the L. D. S. chapel. They gave a demonstration of the work they are doing, which was creditable to the organization. Miss Belva Cox entertained her Sunday School class at her home fast Friday evening. Merry games were enjoyed and refreshments were served. There were twenty girls at the party. Miss Selma Christensen and Mr. Golden Sanderson, two pf Fairview's popular young people, surprised their friends last Monday by going to Man-ti Man-ti and getting married. A party was given in their honor on Thnr'iv evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. S. S. Sanderson, parents of the bridegroom. bride-groom. The one year old "baby boy of Mr. and Mrs. Kimball Mower died January Jan-uary 19th. of eresyplis. It had been ill for over a month. Funeral services were held at the resroeuco on January 22nd. The ward choir furnished appropriate music and Mrs. George Olsen sang a solo. Albert Al-bert Stewart, Lewis Mower and C. L. Pritchett were the speakers, offered sympathy and comfort to those bereaved. be-reaved. .The family have the sympathy sym-pathy of many friends in their bereavement. be-reavement. The baby boy of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Lnndberg has been very ill the past week. Mr. and Mrs. James Waldemar of Mt. Pleasant visited with Mr. and Mrs. Lundberg during the week. Miss Aleen Madsen of Mt. Pleasant spent the week end with friends at Fairview. Henry Larsen and Miss Alta Pritchett were married at Manti on January 19th. A party was .given in their honor at the home of John W. Pritchett, the bride's father. Immediate Im-mediate relatives were present. On Thursday evening about sixteen of I the relatives Of Mr. Larsen went to their home and gave him and his 'bride a surprise party. A very pleasant evening was enjoyed. On Wednesday evening a number of friends gave Mrs. Annie Greco a surprise party in honor of her birthday.
