Show I MINERS HAVE MANY HOLIDAYS Work From 195 to 310 Days During the Year. St. Louis. In the five year period, 1912 to J91G, the time worked in the bituminous coal mines ot this country ranged from 195 to 12,'ii! days of a possible pos-sible 310 working days, according to statistics furnished the American Mining Min-ing congress convention here on Mon day by Dr. V. II. Manning, director of he United States bureau of mines. In 1917 the mines worked 243 days, find in 1918, under the abnormal war conditions, they worked 249 days, according ac-cording to Dr. Manning. |
