Show The Daughters and Wives of Indian In-dian War Veterans held their monthly month-ly meeting at the home of Mrs. Sena Jensen Wednesday, March 2 9, Mrs. Annie Carter, Regent, presiding. Special features of the program were a piano selection by Wilma Wilcox; song, Miss Jessie Swensen and Wilma Wil-ma Wilcox; History of Sanpete, Mrs. Chris Brothersen. A very Interesting Interest-ing talk relating to incidents of Indian In-dian troubles was given by Hyrum Seely. Recitation, Miss Ella Fres-ton; Fres-ton; a clipping from the Hearld-Re-publican, relating to pensions for veterans was read by Regent Annie Carter; Mrs. Abner rane read a letter let-ter from the Head Regent and founder foun-der of this organization, Miss Emma E. Llndsey of Salt. Lake City; Mrs. J. W. Cherry made a motion that the organization draft on its minutes Its appreciation and thanks to Representative Repre-sentative Howell for the work he has done in getting the pensions for Indian War Veterans. After, the meeting refreshments were served. Anton Gunderson and C. W. Ander. son returned Sunday from Salt Lake City, where they have been during the past few months taking treatment at the Sanitarium for rheumatic troubles. The gentlemen are very much improved and are happy to be home again. Judge Christensen returned Saturday Satur-day from Price where he has been holding a busy term of court. He will go to Manti Monday and hold conrt next week. |
