Show FAIR VIEW Swen O. Nielson andN. P. Christensen Chris-tensen are business visitors at Price this week. Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Cheney are rejoicing re-joicing over the arrival of a baby girl at their home March 19. Clyde Cheney went to Salt Lake City this week to remain for some time. Miss Lillie Burr of Provo was the guest of Verda Cheney during the past week. Miss Hortense Allred of Spring City was the guest of Mrs. Charles Peacock last week. Mahonri Titcomb and family of Oak Creek leave this week for the reservation to make their home. The stork called at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Pritchett March 15, and presented them with a baby girl. Miss Elsie Sorensen, who spent the past week with relatives and friends in Fairview, returned to her studies at Salt Lake Wednesday. Ole Nielson and Rheuben leave this week for the reservation, where they expect to make their home. Mrs. Nielson will go later. Mr. and Mrs. James Brallsford of Springvllle were Fairview visitors last week. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Huff of Thistle also came to attend the wedding of Miss Martha Terry. Mr. and Mrs. Chauncey Howell were Spring City visitors last week on account of the funeral of Mrs. Howell's sister, Mrs." Osmond Justesen. Juste-sen. Urban Bench entertained twenty of his little friends March 22 in honor of his eleventh birthday. Games and music and refreshments made the 'time pass pleasantly. A surprise party was given in honor hon-or of Reuben Nielson Wednesday e' ening, at the home of Mrs. William Garlic. The evening was spent in games. Mrs. Fred Olsen entertained the Joy club Wednesday evening. Six members and four visitors were present. pres-ent. Dainty refreshments were served and a pleasant evening spent. ! mrs. in. a. fritcnett entertaiued about twenty-five friends Monday in honor of her husband's birthday. The evening was spent in games. Delicious refreshments were served. Miss Martha Terry and Francis M. Mower were married in the Manti Temple Wednesday, March 14. A reception re-ception was given in their honor at the home of the bride's father, Wilford Wil-ford Terry Thursday. A sumptuous dinner was served. Miss Stewart has a splen-1 did new Amberola which was appreciated ap-preciated by all. We are very sorry to lose one of our members, Miss.' Leslie Stewart, who is going to make her home in Soda Springs, Idaho. All the girls Join In wishing her good luck and happiness. Miss Leslie Stewart left for Idaho Wednesday to stay indefinitely. A party was given Monday eve in her honor by the Y. L. M. I. A. as she was counselor In that organization. She was presented with a handsome ?et of silverware. The party was held In the school gymnasium, about 3ixty were present. A number of speeches were given in appreciation of her good and faithful work in the Mutual. Games and music were the order of the evening. Refreshments were served. A surprise party was given March 18 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ole Nielson, as they leave soon for the reservation. The evening was spent n games and social chat. A dainty luncheon was served to the following, Messrs. and Mesdames E. H. Ander-ion, Ander-ion, Samuel D. Bills, A. U. Miner, Tames Peterson, William Terry, rank Cox, Willie Garlic, Peter Nielson, Niel-son, H. W. Clark, Lewis Peterson, Frank Tucker, J. A. Anderson, N. B. Pritchett, Albert Norman, Mrs. John Vance, Mrs. Stena Olsen. Mrs. Niels Lassen, Mrs. Mary Olsen and the host ind hostess. The Relief Society held their annual an-nual celebration March 17. An excellent ex-cellent program of songs, speeches nd musie was given in the L. D. S. Chapel. Sister Mary I'eterson, who lately resigned as counselor to President Presi-dent Fowles, was made the honored guest of the day. After the meeting all retired to the basement, where another program was given and refreshments re-freshments served. A handsome rocker was presented to Mrs. Peter-ion. Peter-ion. Many good words were spoken nf her faithful labors In the Relief Society especially among the sick, ind in laying out the dpad. She has lso been a member of the ward choir for forty years. A dance in the evening even-ing closed the celebration. |
