Show County Extension News LIVE STOCK FEEDING: Eighty of the foremost livestock feeders of the county met at Ephraim j last week, according to appointment. and discussed and heard a discus-Ision discus-Ision of the outlook for the live stock ! feeding industry, the feeding of and the marketing of livestock, by Prof. John T. Caine 111 and Dr. W. E. Carroll Car-roll of the Agricultural College. Eight of the towns of the County were represented as follows: Ft. Green, Moroni, Chester, Ephraim, , Manti, Mayfield, Gunnison, and Clarion. Clar-ion. Everyone who attended expressed ex-pressed themselves as being well paid for having been present. Space will not permit to detail the proceedings. However, assurance was given that the men who get in to the feeding game and stay into K consistently year after year are the men who will make the most money. The outlook for feeliers this fall compares favorable with normal years and is possible better than th-i average. A committee met at H. Green anu plans were discussed for the perfecting perfect-ing of some sort of a cooperativb a,greement between producers and prospective feeders, whereby more lambs could be fattened at home. Details will be worked out in subsequent subse-quent meetings. A Morning meeting was herd at Mayfield at which seventeen of their practical feeders were present. The feeders of this place are developing plans for the cooperative market ing of their fat steers next winter. IRRIGATION ENGINEER HERE: Prof. L. M. Winsor, Irrigation Engineer of the Argicultlral College is here in the county. He has been here all week. He is working with the County Agent on a number ot irrigation problems throu.gh the ;:cunty, chief of which at present are at Fairview, Spring City, Ephraim, i and Manti.
