Show STEMS Mrs. E. C. Johnson was hostess to the O. S. A. club Wednesday afternoon after-noon serving an elaborate luncheon sfter a couple of hours of needle work. The members and guests present pres-ent were Mesdames A. E. Petersen, Joseph Monsen, J. J. Nichols, L. P. Vickers, C. T. Drage, , Savona Norman Nor-man of Fairview, A. C. Madsen, Neils Larsen, John Stansfleld, Miss Selma Jensen and Mae McArthur. Mrs. J. W. Cherry entertained Monday afternoon with a kensing-ton kensing-ton and luncheon in honor of her guest, Mrs. M. L. Beaumann, John Knudsen of Bingham, Miss Eliza Jones and Miss Margaret Thurman. Mrs. H. D. Roberts of Salt Lake has announced the marriage of her daughter, Florence, to George Que Christensen, son of District Judge and Mrs. George Christensen of Mount Pleasant. The ceremony was Solemnized Wednesday, September 19, in the Manti Temple and was followed by a dinner for the immediate imme-diate family at the home of the bridegroom's parents. The young couple left Thursday for Salt Lake, where a reception will be given in their honor that evening at the home of the bride's mother. Mr. Christen sen is a graduate of the medical department de-partment of the University of Utah, and the latter part of the week the young couple will leave for Baltimore, Balti-more, where he will enter the College Col-lege of Physicians and Surgeons for the coming winter. A- beautifully appointed luncheon was given Thursday evening by Mrs. C. W. Sorensen in compliment to Miss Ivy Bjernsen of San Diego, a friend of Miss Ruby Sorensen, who is at present laboring as an L. D. S. missionary in San Diego, Miss Deane Webb, who leaves next week to attend at-tend the Utah Business College in Salt Lake, and Miss Pearl Olson, who will also leave next week to attend the L. D. S. University in Salt Lake. Beautifully tinted autumn leaves and flowers were used in the decorations decora-tions throughout the home. Three little girls, Miss Bernice Madsen, Miss Bernita Hansen and Miss Eloese Hansen assisted the hostess in serving. serv-ing. The luncheon table held covers for Miss Bjernsen, Miss Webb, Miss Olson, Miss Eva Ericksen, Miss June Young, Miss Ruby Larsen, Miss Kathryn Ericksen, Miss Afton Wilson, Miss Ruby Olson, Miss Pearl Jorgensen, Miss Goldie Neilsen, Miss Flossie Staker, Miss Vera Hasler, Miss Velma Tidwell, Miss Elida Staker, Miss Gladys Ericksen, Miss Helen Lars"en, Miss Winona Cherry, Miss Ruth Mon-son Mon-son and Miss Elmira Barton. Musical Musi-cal numbers were contributed by the Ladies' South Ward Quartet, and later la-ter the party attended the "movies" a,t the Elite. j Mrs. Erick Gundersen was the recipient re-cipient of a most successful surprise party Tuesday evening in honor of her fiftieth birthday anniversary. The guests included the members of l.the family and close friends and the j officers of the South Ward Primary ; Association. The home was bright with a profusion of autumn flowers and at 7 o'clock an elaborate five-course five-course dinner was served. During the evening an impromptu program of music and speeches was enjoyed, several numbers being given by the girls' primary' quartet. Mrs. Gundersen Gun-dersen was presented with a beautiful beauti-ful leather rocker by her many friends and with a fall suit by her children. The guests included Messrs. and Mesdames C. W.
