Show Antarctic Expedition Succesful. Adelaide, Australia. Dr. Douglnj Mawson, the Australasian explorer, returned here Thursday from the Antarctic on board the Aurora. He said his expedition had been "eminently "emi-nently successful." Mr. Mawson declared de-clared that dredging had yielded the best collection of biological specimens speci-mens ever obtained in the Antarctic. Many mineral deposits had been exposed, ex-posed, some of them rich. Their extent, ex-tent, however, was not traceable, owing ow-ing to the ice. Occasional rocks ex posed indicated the existence of s vast coal bed. |
