Show Monday evening, Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Johnson entertained a number of friends in honor of the City Council and their wives. A delightful dinner I was served, covers being laid for twenty, The tables and rooms were tastefully decorated with carnations and ferns, carrying out a color scheme of pink and white. Following the dinner, an enjoyable evening was spent in informal games and music. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Monsen, Mr. and Mr3. Niels Larsen, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph C. Jordan, Jor-dan, Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Rasmussen, Mr. and Mrs. S. H, Frey, Mr. John H. Seely, Mrs. H. S. Nielson, Mrs. N. S. Nielsen, Misses Olive Nielsen, Ida Merz, and Irene Nielsen, Roy Nielsen, Pearly Johnson, Lyman Seely, and Douglas Strang. Assisting the hostess were Misses Dorothy Froiseth, Margaret Thurman, Dexter Hugentobler, and Mary Johnson. . Mrs. Rosetta Hafen was happily entertained at a birthday party Monday Mon-day evening by herlfamily in compli ment of her 62nd birthday which occurred oc-curred Sunday the 1st. Many beautiful beau-tiful presents were given to her and a very excellent dinner wa6 served. There were twenty people at the table.- Mr. and Mrs. S. E. Jensen entertained enter-tained a large number of their friends at a pleasant dinner party Thursday evening. Covers were laid for sixty-one people. C. W. Sorensen acted as toastmaster for the occasion. oc-casion. Many sentimental and comic toasts were given by following gen-Itemen gen-Itemen who were introduced by the toastmaster: John H. Seely, Jas, Monsen, F. C. Jensen, H. C. Beau-man, Beau-man, Dr. Winters, Bishop H. C. Jacobs, N. S. Nei'son, James Larson, Lar-son, Bishop A. Merz, W.' D. Cand-land, Cand-land, and R. Anderson. Many choice musical numbers were given. George Christensen delivered a danish recitation, re-citation, Harold Jensen gave a Clari- l net solo, Mrs. J. W. Cherry gave a recitation, Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Sorensen Sor-ensen sang a danish song, Mrs. O. F. Wall recited, Miss Ida Merz rendered render-ed musical selections, Mrs. S. E. Jensen and son Harold sang a solo, James Monsen sang a danish song' Mr. and Mrs. A. Merz sang in German, Ger-man, and the Misses Lucile Howe and Arbrelia Seely rendered music and songs. |
