Resolution Declares United States Disclaims Any Hostility to the-Mexican the-Mexican People or Any Purpose to Make War Upon Them. Washingtcn.-O'he senate at 3:21 o'clock Wednesday morning, by a vooe of 72 to 13. passed the administration resolution, which is as follows: In view of the facts presented by the president of the United States In bis address delivered to congress m joint session on the 20th of April, PH4 in regard to certain affronts and Indignities committed against the United States in Mexico, be it Resolved, that the president is justified jus-tified in the employment of the armed, forces of the United States to enforce his demands for unequivocal amends or the affronts and indignities committed com-mitted against the United States; be It further Resolved, that the United States dis-claim dis-claim any hostility to the Mexican people or any purpose to make war upon them. The resolution goes to the house for confirmation. The final vote came at the close of a. stirring all night session, marked by bitter debate. All of the thirteen negative votes were cast by Republicans.- Administration Adminis-tration leaders are confident that the house will accept the substitute virtually vir-tually without debate. Jn Monday the house passed a resolution reso-lution approving President Wilson's purpose to use the forces of the nation na-tion to obtain from General Huerta the fullest recognition of the honor and dignity of the United States. The vote w.' 337 to 37. Twenty-one Republicans, Re-publicans, two Progressives and one Independent voted against the resolution. Those who voted against the resolution reso-lution in the house were: Democrats George, Kindel, Sisson, Stephens of Mississippi' and Wither-spoon Wither-spoon 5.
