Show Spring City Girl Elopes Sivteen-year old Ivmleen Anderson inns away and Rets married The efforts of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Anderson to prevent their 16 year old daughter from marrying fell short by only a few minutes last Monday, the sheriff at Ogden receiving re-ceiving the information only a few minu-'er. after tie ceremony had been performed. Voting Larson who went to Salt Lake a few days before came down and met her at Spring City station, the parents thinking the daughter had r.one. to visit her sister-in-law at Mt. Pleasant caused them no alarm. The ceremony was performed by Flder John V. Blwlh in the office of 'he rountv clerk at Ogden. The tender ten-der age of the girl is the reason given giv-en for the parents desire tt prevent the marriage. Miss Myrtle Madsen returned home from Salt Lake Tuesday on account of the illness of her mother. Marian Juslesen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Justesen, died at his father's fa-ther's home Tuesday morning after prolonged suffering from Typhoid fever and Bed sores. Mr. Justesen was 38 years old and leaves a wife and three children and many relatives rela-tives and friends to mourn his loss. Funeral services were held in the Spring City Cemetery. Lyman Christensen and Floyd. Brough have gone to Woods Cross expecting to work for the Deseret Live Stock Co. of that place. Mr. and Mrs. L. S. Burns of West Portage, Idaho, was here this week to attend the funeral of Marian Justesen. Jus-tesen. brother of Mrs. Burns. William Crawford arrived home this week after several weeks absence ab-sence in Utah County. Ilollister James departed for Woods Cross Wednesday expecting to remain during the summer. o |
