Show Wasatch Alumni. The annual banquet of Wasatch Alumni was held in the dining room of the Wasatch Home last Wednesday Wednes-day evening. The members of the alumni rallied together and a good representation of a large number of the blasses which have completed their courses with honor at the Academy Aca-demy were in attendance. The banquet ban-quet was prepared and served under the direction of the Domestic Science department of the Academy. Hon. J.' Morgan Johnson of Spring City acted as Toastmaster. There were manv interesting and appropriate approp-riate toasts given by students, teachers teach-ers and parents. It was a well arranged ar-ranged program from beginning to end. The toasts were filled with the spirit of school life. One would think from the remarks made by those who took part that it was of the greatest importance to be a student stu-dent of Wasatch. In the course of the remarks made by some of those who took part one made use of these words "that Wasatch was the place to go to obtain education for service which teaches men to' be leyal to themselves, to mankind, their country coun-try and their God; to be honest, chast, benevolent, and industrious; to improve the human race; to multiply mul-tiply and replenish the earth and to subdue it." A most interesting program was crrried out after the banquet in the assembly room of the Academy. Here the graduating class gave a demonstration of what school life was. It was the nature of a country school. The prof, of the class took his students through a number of oral examinations together with out door field sports. It was a unique affair and pleased the audience very much. |
