Show II Fountain Green The following students left this week to attend school at the Snow Academy: Ethel Nielsen, Ruth Lund, Luella Holman, Florence Jackson, La Verne Holman, Luella Oldroyd, George Jackson, Jabez Jensen and Lloyd Collard. Leah Christensen is attending high school at Moroni. A small girl of Ole Allred's has a dislocated shoulder. R. C. Cooksy came home from Tucker last week suffering from a bad bruise on his knee. He expects to be able to return soon. Saturday, while out hunting, Geo. Coombs' horse fell with him, causing dislocation of his hip. Mrs. Ann Llewellyn received word last week that her son, John-T., of Burlington, Wyo., had died while herding sheep. No particulars have yet been given. Frank Llewelhn left Saturday for Wyoming 'to attend at-tend the funeral. , ' Wilford Jacobson met with an accident ac-cident last Saturday. While riding alongside of the train and talking to some passengers, hid horse fell, resulting re-sulting in a broken leg. Mrs. Charles Coombs was taken to Mt. Pleasant Hospital on Saturday night, where she was operated on for appendicitis by Dr. Winters. Reports are that she is feeling as well as could be expected. Mrs. Etta Livingston is visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Winters at Mt. Pleasant. The Public schools opened Monday with the following teachers: Tillie Borg and Indra Whittaker, of Mt. Pleasant; Mable Dyring and Clara Monk, of Manti; J. N. Dorius, principal, prin-cipal, of Wales, and C. L. Despain, of Cedar Cliff. Mr. Richards of Salt Lake is here surveying for the proposed water works system. The trench digging will begin soon. It was stated in last week's issue that a baby boy was born to Mrs. E. M. Cheney on Aug. 30. This was an error, as it was Mrs. E. M. Ivory. |
