X PROCLAMATION X I, Joseph Monsen, Mayor of Mount Pleasant, in X the interest of civic pride and. the public welfare, do X hereby proclaim and set apart Thursday, the fifteenth day of April, 1915, as a day for cleaning and beautify- ing the city. X X All citizens are respectfully urged to suspend X X their usual employments on that day and unite with j each other and the civic, social and religious drganiza- tions of the city, in the labor of removing rubbish, cleaning ditches, and generally improving the appear- X X ance of private premises and the adjacent streets. X Appropriate committees for the several divisions of the city have been selected to promote and stimu- late the work, and it is hoped that there will be a gen- eral response to this appeal for a more beautiful, at- X X tractive, and healthy municipality.
