Show PERSONAL PA Levi S. Dunham of this city departed de-parted last week for Gettysburg to attend the Encampment of the Grand Army of the Republic. He left Salt Lake City last Friday June 27th in company with many other War veterans of the state. All of whom encamped on the battle field of Gettysburg on the night of July 1st, scene of greatest battle of the Civif War. Forty thousand old veterans vet-erans of war between North and South lso distinguished persons from all parts of the country are guests during the reunion. Mayor Jas. W. Anderson and Burke McArthur went to the monn-tains monn-tains last Monday morning to look over the Electric Light and Power plant which is being built in the mouth of the Pleasant Creek canyon. The mayor was delighted to see the work progressing so well and that everything was being put up in first class style. Before returning the two gentlemen were invited to dine at the camp. The nice dinner prepared by Mrs. Victor Peterson and other ladiei of the camp was very much enjoyed by the guests afcer their climb over the hills. Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Bull of La Grande Oregon will arrive in Mount Pleasant to-day and visit with Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Coats. Parnell Wilcox is in Richfield this week assisting at the D. & R. G. Depot De-pot while the agent is taking a vacation. va-cation. Mrs. E. J. Hansen of Nephi was over to Mount Pleasant last week to visit with her mother, Mrs. Asa Wilcox. Miss Asentath Swensen returned home last Monday after a two weeks visit in Salt Lake City. Peter Swensen returned home from Wyoming on Monday, having been employed in that state the last few months. Walter Lund, who sustained a broken collar bone and shoulder blade a short time ago, is improving very nicely. Irvin Allred, son of I. E. Allred of Spring City, returned from the Philippines last week to pay his parents par-ents a short visit. Mr. Allred has been employed by the government as a civil engiuer for the Bureau of Lands in the island posessions. He has been in the Philippines since October in the year 1906. Mrs. Oscar Anderson had ajsevere fall down the stairway leading to the cellar at her home last Tuesday. Her left arm was dislocated and a cut was made in her face. One bone was fractured. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Seely came over from Castle Dale to spend the Fourth of July in Mt. Pleasant. L. P. Vickers of the local telephone tele-phone company, was an Ephraim visitor during the week.
