Show FREE PUBLIC LIBRARY FOR SPRING CITY A discussion was begun In Spring City a few days ago relative to the need of a Free Public Library. Some of the townsmen offered their assistance assis-tance In various ways. Some offering books, money and coal. The manager manag-er of the Allred Adjustment Agency ol'iered to allow one of the rooms now making a part of the offlice of that Agency as a reading room. One of the officers of the Mutual Improve-( Improve-( meut Associations heard a part of the i discussion and got busy. A meeting ' was immediately called to convene in the office of the ' Allred Adjustment Adjust-ment Agency, of the officers of the mutuals. They accepted the offer of the room suggested and laid some I plans for getting the proposition on the move. Again oners were maae of from fifteen volumes to one hundred hun-dred volumes of books. It is expected expect-ed that the Library will be run under the direction of the mutual associa-i associa-i tions of Spring City though the matter mat-ter will be discussed in the Parents class Sunday, DecemDer zuth, 1134. and it is expected that the Parent will aid in every way possible to get a library started. Another meeting of the officers of the mutuals has been called for Sunday Sun-day evening. A proposition of this kind with the backing it has cannot fail. Every person in Spring City Is invited to attend the Parents' Class Sunday and i ure invited to aid in this matter In ' any way they can. It is said that any person heard talking against this Free Public Library will be fined in any sum not less than $5.00 nor more than $100.00.'., |
