Show MILITIA MAY GO TO COAST THIS YEAR. Boys Will Probably Encamp at The Presidio Next Summer Arrangements are being made by the war department to hold joint maneuvers of the militia and regular army this year and if the present plans do not miscarry, the or aniz-ed aniz-ed militia will take part in the en campment at the Presidia near San Francisco. In order to carry out these extensive arrangements an appropriation ap-propriation of $1,350,000 by congress is needed, but it is said that a disposition dispo-sition has been shown to make the necessary appropriation. The country will be divided into seven large maneuver divisions, with in the eastern, central and western divisions of the army organization. The New England forces will engage en-gage in an attack upon New York City. With them will be the Tenth Cavalery, the Fifteenth infantry and the Third field artillery. Defending the city will be a part of the Fiftieth cavalry, the Fifteenth cavalry, the Third battalion, the Twenty-ni.' th infantry and the militia of New York and New Jersey. In the central division, the militia of Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Wisconsin, Wis-consin, Illinois, Indiana and Michigan Michi-gan will assemble with the regulars at Forts Sueiling and Sheridan. At Fort D. A. Russell, Wyoming, will assemble the militia from North and South Dakota, Montana, Colorado, Colo-rado, Kansas and Nebraska, topeth er with the regulars stationed there. The guardsmen of Texas will maneuver maneu-ver with the regulars at Fort Sam Houston near San Antonia. The maneuvers in the Western division di-vision will take place at San Francisco, Francis-co, the participants being the militia mili-tia organizations of Arizona, Ne Mexico, Utah and California and the regulars from the posts in and about the Presidio of Monterey. Problems of mimic warfare will be worked out near Puget sound by the miliiin of Oregon, Washington and Idaho at. Vancouver barracks with the reg ulars there, as well as those fiom Boise barracks and possibly from Forts Lawton and Wright. $100 Reward, $100.
