She has been visiting in the city for several sev-eral weeks. Wilford Winkler returned home from Salt Lake Citv last Tuesday where he has been attending Summer Sum-mer School. Mrs. A. C. Madsen entertained Wednesday afternoon at her home in honor of Mrs. McCarty, of Hood River, and Mrs. Neal Madsen of Scofield. There were a large number num-ber of near relatives and friends invited. in-vited. Miss Hilda Madsen entertained at a Kensington Thursday afternoon Aug. 7th, at her home. The twenty-one invited guests enjoyed a fine buffet luncheon and the party ended in an auto ride in S. D. Longdorf 's new automobile. Mrs. Neal M. Madsen and children of Scofield are Mount Pleasant visitors visi-tors this week. Bent R. Hanson and John Stans-field Stans-field were in Salt Lake a few days this week selecting decorations for the new Elite theatre. Some mischievous boys were out hunting and while passing some of the boles of the new transmission line, shot some of the insulators on the poles., The boys were reprimanded repri-manded for their acts and will have to pay for the damages. If another such case comes up the boys will be severely delt with. Mrs. A. D. Sutton chaperoned a merry outing party to the mountains mount-ains last Wednesday evening. There were four buggies carrying fourteen people, namely: Mrs. A. D. Sutton, Thelma Sutton, Ray McGonigal, Rex and Harold Jensen, Geneve Johnson, Margaret Candland, Miss Sutherland of Provo, Nellie, Walter nd Burke McArthur, Francs and Winifred Jensen and H. LeRoy Neilson. The party went up to the new electric light plant which is in the course of construction and was entertained by Mr. Frazer . and Mr. Samuels; who have the work in charge. The' evening eve-ning was spent in music and songs, etc. A nice luncheon was served. |
