Show Frances Jensen Appears Ap-pears In Voice Recital. Miss Frances Jensen appeared in Voice Recital last Saturday evening before the music lovers of Mount Pleasant. She was assisted by Mrs. Wilbur L. Davis, violinist and Miss Winifred Jensen, accompanist at piano. The beautiful roll which Miss Jensen Jen-sen gave was carefully selected from leading authors; among whom may be mentioned Cadman, Ronald, Fiel-itz, Fiel-itz, Nevin, Harriet Ware, Thomas, Aliitsen, Foote, Thayer, Lohr, Haw-ley Haw-ley and Bond. The opening number "From The Land of The Sky" was much appreciated and brought a spirited applause from the audience. It was followed by "The White Dawn Is Stealing, "Sunbeam, "Oh, Irmin-gaard, Irmin-gaard, "Der Rosenkranz, "Boat Song, "Song of Sunshine, "Love is A Bubble, "Mtf Laddie, "I'm Wear-in' Wear-in' Awa', Jean, "The Little Irish Girl, "At Dawning, "The Sweetest Flower That Grows and "A Perfect Day," which were very much appre- , ciated by the music lovers. Miss Jensen, who is a student of the Oberlin Conservatory of Music in Ohio, wished to give the public a recital re-cital before returning to her studies again this fall. |
